Yet another trip to Ikea this past weekend. This time for curtains. Baby B's nursery is so perfect! Just need a little wall art and we are good to go!
We also had our first birth class. It was beyond amazing. Just the location alone makes it all worthwhile. It feel as if you are out in the country because there are horses, goats, chickens, and more! Also very zen-like flowing with positive energy. Ryan likes to call it the birth commune. Definitely hippy-dippy but I think Ryan even thinks it's kind of fun to be super granola for one night per week.
We are learning so much. So much that I am pretty sure we will be the most well-informed couple ever. Following the birth class we also had a doula meeting, had a group prenatal appointment, and went to a water birth class. The 2 funniest things we learned: 1. we should pack scuba equipment in our overnight hospital bag. (yes, I thought this was a joke at first too but the midwife said, very seriously, that we would be allowed to birth completely underwater this way....so packing scuba gear now....maybe). 2. They have a fishing net to scoop out any escaped bowel movements that might be floating along in the birthing tub. (I wonder who scores this job? I asked Ryan if he would take that on but he said that sounds more like what a nurse will be doing.....).
My platelets have dropped a little more but not horrible. 94. Also, baby B is locked and loaded! Head down and ready to go. It's crazy how time is flying by now!
