34 Weeks

Baby answered my wish and moved the feet out of the right ribs.  I can't help but wonder if baby dropped.....or if baby flipped......hopefully dropped and not flipped!  The car seat is in the car!  We are all ready to go just in case little girl decides to show up early.  I've been having more heartburn lately.Tums have become an important item to carry in my purse.  Also, I have been getting regular nosebleeds.  I am hoping that this is not a sign my platelets have dropped further.  My next blood test is on Tuesday.
My mom, sister, and neighborhood gave us on awesome baby shower.  We even got "flocked"--which is where a company shows up and covers your yard with festive flamingos during the night.  The food was amazing and Baby B got so many wonderful things.  I am all ready to start nesting....whenever I get that extra energy burst!

Do I really have another month+ to go?!?!?

33 Weeks

The temperatures have been reaching the 100s!  Even my eyeballs have been hot.  And all I want is ice cream for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Luckily, babygirl has a daddy that cares about our nutrition so ice cream has been limited to a somewhat reasonable amount.

The exciting news from this week:  We have a carseat!  This means we can officially take our little babe home.

We are also getting quite the collection of special gifts for the little lady.  I am describing them all to her but I cannot wait to show her everything in person!

Babygirl has been super hyper lately.  Almost agitated.  I am guessing it's the heat.  And she is feeling antsy waiting to finish cooking.  It makes sense and I don't blame her.  BUT can she please drop out of my ribs already?  That is her mama's one wish.  We did a long car ride (3+ hours to Redmond and back in one day) for our friend's wedding.  I could not get comfortable.  I am pretty sure one of my ribs is not in the correct position anymore and I wouldn't be surprised if some of my stomach muscles have torn in the process.  And my back.  I won't even go there.  Babygirl got a lot of love from all of our friends though.  And she did a good job of kicking for everyone when instructed.

32 Weeks

I don't just like my birth class we are taking....I think I am in love with it.  Everything about it.  I know I have raved about it before but I can't help myself.  It is probably my favorite part of the week because it's one night a week where Ryan and I get to be so incredibly connected, on the same page, supporting one another.  It has just made this whole process that much more intimate and special.

Okay, enough of the mushy gushy.

My back hurts (seriously bad) and it's hot.  Too hot for pregnancy.  I asked Ryan for a week off but he reminded me that we are in the HOME STRETCH!  Babygirl could be here as early as 5 weeks from now.  Although it could be as long as 10 weeks.  But still--it is soon!

32 Weeks, can it really get any bigger?

31 Weeks

Yet another trip to Ikea this past weekend.  This time for curtains.  Baby B's nursery is so perfect!  Just need a little wall art and we are good to go!

We also had our first birth class.  It was beyond amazing.  Just the location alone makes it all worthwhile.  It feel as if you are out in the country because there are horses, goats, chickens, and more!  Also very zen-like flowing with positive energy.  Ryan likes to call it the birth commune.  Definitely hippy-dippy but I think Ryan even thinks it's kind of fun to be super granola for one night per week.

We are learning so much.  So much that I am pretty sure we will be the most well-informed couple ever.  Following the birth class we also had a doula meeting, had a group prenatal appointment, and went to a water birth class.  The 2 funniest things we learned: 1. we should pack scuba equipment in our overnight hospital bag.  (yes, I thought this was a joke at first too but the midwife said, very seriously, that we would be allowed to birth completely underwater this way....so packing scuba gear now....maybe).  2. They have a fishing net to scoop out any escaped bowel movements that might be floating along in the birthing tub.  (I wonder who scores this job?  I asked Ryan if he would take that on but he said that sounds more like what a nurse will be doing.....).

My platelets have dropped a little more but not horrible. 94.  Also, baby B is locked and loaded!  Head down and ready to go.  It's crazy how time is flying by now!

I'm getting the "do you have a basketball in there?" looks now!

30 Weeks

3/4 of the way to babyland!  We went on a hike this weekend and it KILLED me.  Only a little 5.5 mile one too.  I think it will be my last hike until post-babygirl.  I went to bed directly following the hike and slept for almost 24 hours.  Also, when I say sleep, it is more like chunks of sleep where I am good for an hour at a time before becoming incredibly uncomfortable.

Other exciting news this week is that my sister-in-law had her babyboy!  6 weeks early so the poor guy will have to be in the NICU for a while.  But he seems healthy and he is pretty adorable.  Babygirl was supposed to be 4 weeks younger than him but it looks like he wanted to make it clear that he is the older cuzzie.  Seeing him made it all the more real that we are going to have a little one soon as well!

The big three-zero!
